Dead Sea Salt

As you know, the Dead Sea is the saltiest body of water on earth and the salt in the sea contains over 80 minerals essential for skin care---more than any other sea salt in the world! In fact, the salt content of the Dead Sea is so dense and concentrated that tourists who come to the sea to bathe in it's healthy waters, literally float on the surface of the sea without sinking! The concentration of salt water in the Dead Sea is about 28% compared to only 3-4% in regular sea water. On top of that, this sea salt contains much higher amounts of minerals compared to regular salt. Just a few of the important essential minerals present in the salt, include calcium, magnesium, potassium, bromine and sodium, as previously discussed.

Not only is Dead Sea salt used to make bath salts for use in soaking and relaxing, they are also used as ingredients in many other skin care cosmetics, such as moisterisers, lotions, hand and foot creams, as well as other serums and facial care products. Mineral salts and mineral mud of the Dead Sea have a unique healing and beautifying effect on the skin, also previously discussed.

The legend of how well Dead Sea salt works at helping skin look and feel younger, smoother as well as provide relaxation, and skin ailment reflief, dates back many thousands of years. For instance, over 2000 years ago--- the Jewish Roman historian, Flavius, wrote the following about people's experience with the Dead Sea bath salt:'The Dead Sea can not be praised too highly.....travellers take as much of this salt as they are able to home with them, because it heals the human body and is therefore used in many medicines'.

The mineral composition of the Dead Sea therefore is the unique blend for the beautifying and therapeutic effect on the skin. The salts are known to cure skin disorders through strengthening the skin tissues, maintaining the chemical balance of the skin, stimulating blood circulation and eliminating toxins from the skin. Regular Dead Sea salt baths can also improve various chemical imbalances of the skin and body as well as balance the skins natural pH levels. Products which contain these minerals, show about 4 times better results in tests, than any other skin care products of the kind.

Cleopatra, the Queen of ancient beauty, was legendary for her majikally youthful looks throughout her whole life, even as she got older. The real secret to the beauty of her silky skin, was the anti aging effect of bath salts, mud and cosmetics made from Dead Sea salt----which was gathered for her at the factories she had built on the shores of the sea. The ruins of those factories can still be seen today at Erin Brooke and Erin Geed, and they stand as testemonials to the ageless beauty power of Dead Sea bath salt.

Not only did the Sumerian, Babylonian and Egyptian cultures use the Dead Sea muds, clays and salts for various healing and beauty therapies, but so did the Indian, Tibetan and Asian cultures. They would either travel to the Dead Sea and collect or purchase their own supply of muds and salts, or they would import quantities from the region. The mud, clay and salt was used for gynecological dis ease, illness of the stomache, kidneys, intestines, and back pain. Also used to treat joint dis ease, wounds filled with puss and other impurities. The mud/clay pulls unnecessary components out of the body, such as inflamations, swellings, impurities, residues, etc.

Quite a wonderful product for an overall body treatment!
